As hair and makeup artists, utilizing flowers in a bride’s hair is one of our favorite things to do at Daneene Jensen & Associates!

It lends a romantic element to any bride’s hairstyle and need not be reserved only for the vintage or bohemian bride. It also helps to fill in where hair may be thin or sparse.
Flowers can be incorporated into any bride’s hair- they just have to be the right size and style. Some of our favorite examples are below.
Clusters with variety look great placed into an up do, or placed sporadically throughout. You can use a variety of blooms, or incorporate some baby’s breath in with a flower or two.

One large flower is a terrific statement piece, or a great replacement if you plan to remove your veil after the wedding ceremony.
Clusters of flowers also look modern and romantic placed into a half updo. Using a variety of sizes looks best, as well as placing them in a non-symetrical way.

You can use fresh flowers or silk. Silk does tend to be easier to pin into the hair, but professional artists that work with accessories regularly should be equipped to secure whichever option you choose.
Floral crowns are also gaining popularity. Delicate flowers placed throughout the braided crown look beautiful for your Philadelphia wedding.

For the best results, plan to take some floral variations to your hair trial before your wedding. This way, your stylist can help you choose the best options for your wedding day style.
