Reviews
Having our wedding at Loch Aerie Mansion was a dream come true. We were scrambling to quickly plan a smaller wedding this year (2020) after cancelling a very large wedding scheduled for early next year (2021), when we stumbled upon the newly renovated Loch Aerie Mansion. Lucky for us, it is new on the market and a bit of a hidden treasure or I?m sure we would've never been able to book it on such short notice. But it was literally perfect. If I had known it existed at the time we were originally booking, I probably would've picked it over our first venue anyway! Things to love about the venue: Totally versatile, customizable, and spacious: We had our ceremony on the front steps (covid precautions) but could have had it in either parlor, the lawn, or in the ball room depending on vibe and crowd size All-inclusive: I got ready, had our ceremony, had cocktails, and dinner (no dancing but again, covid) all in one place. All Star Team: Dana, Elizabeth (events and florals) and John (catering) were literally unreal to work with. They have a long history of being awesome together, so made it so simple to organize things. They made sure to coordinate if I told the wrong one information about something, or helped me make sure all my Ts were crossed and Is were dotted. I made the choice to not pay for a separate coordinator and it was a great choice; with that trio, I was in great hands. Convenience, convenience, convenience: They've got a sweet setup with the Sheraton across the street. My groom got ready in the Presidential suite there, and we had complimentary shuttle service to and from the venue (also hireable throughout the weekend for things like welcome drinks down the street at McKenzies!). We also hosted our Rehearsal there the night before, and had a bottomless mimosa brunch for the gals outside by the fire pits while the boys golfed. Full weekend with the easiest of coordination. Value: worth every penny and then some. Dana will probably figure out soon the venue is under priced ;P THE PHOTO OPS: every nook and cranny is photo-worthy. Things to love about Dana: Easy to talk to, and made herself available: email, text, calls, whatever. So so personable: my Mom (#MOB) like reeeeeally wanted to see the venue, so drove over by herself (more than once) and Dana was so sweet and accommodating. True to her word: a small family-owned operation, we were able to ask for and negotiat an event that worked for both of us. I never felt like I was dealing with an impersonal large venue chain. Which was HUGE after having to get a lawyer involved to cancel our previously planned wedding, despite the pandemic (:mindblowing:) Honestly, wish I could give it more stars.
Our daughter's bridal party preparation and wedding reception at Loch Aerie Mansion was an intimate display of flawless customer service. Dana Porier, proprietor of Loch Aerie Mansion, worked closely with hair and make up professionals, as well as our photographer to ensure that their every need was met. Following the wedding, reception, guests were welcomed at the grand staircase of the foyer with beverages and hors d'oeuvres. The Mansion?s magnificent adjoining rooms and outdoor porch provided an inimitable setting for cocktail hour and are well suited for smaller events as well. The newly completed ballroom carries forward interesting architectural elements from the original home and easily accommodates groups from 50 to 300. Dana was available at a moment?s notice throughout the entire day. She made every resource at her disposal accessible to us and was personally invested in our happiness. Dana has assembled a team of consummate professionals, who worked together seamlessly to ensure our complete satisfaction. And as a final touch, she even arranged for the repurposing of our table flowers to benefit local nursing homes and hospice centers. Compliments from each of our vendors and most especially from our guests could not be more glowing. Simply put, our reception was perfection personified, one that delighted not only both the bride and groom, but their assembled family and friends. We recommend Loch Aerie Mansion wholeheartedly, without reservation and with the highest possible praise. Jan and Chris Janosik
