Aldie MansionDoylestown, Pennsylvania
Past the brick and wrought-iron gates, on more than 10 acres of carefully tended grounds, stands Aldie Mansion, a historic wedding and event venue in Doylestown. While its period charm adds to the ambiance of any special event, this restored mansion offers the space and amenities of a more contemporary venue.
In particular, the new 2,400-square-foot atrium presents many unique possibilities. Designed in keeping with Aldie’s Tudor architecture, it accommodates a formal dinner dance for up to 200 guests.
The original oak-paneled Library, Boardroom and Great Hall with its bluestone floor all feature distinctive fireplaces and are ideal for smaller gatherings. Outside, splashing fountains, terraces, rolling lawns and rare specimen trees create a thousand lovely photo backdrops.
Aldie Mansion was modeled after the Mercer family's ancestral estate in Perthshire, Scotland. The present mansion, built in 1927, is the second of that name built on the property. The first, an imposing Victorian "cottage," was built for the William R. Mercer family in the mid-nineteenth century.

I had my wedding here and everything was absolutely amazing! Such a great location and venue! The staff is so helpful and nice. you can tell they truly love what they do! The food was delicious my guests all kept saying how much they enjoyed the food. The entire day was perfect! I highly recommend this location! We're thrilled!
Magical, the venue speaks for itself, food outstanding! Our guests walked away having a fantastic evening. Our daughter and new son in law had the wedding of there dreams!
Listen. This is no ordinary mansion. This is ALDIE mansion. Aldie was a legend and left this mansion for the public to enjoy. And enjoy it I did. Beautiful mansion. I had never laid eyes on such architecture. Don't even get me started on the tree. 10/10 would come back.
Great friendly staff. Food was very good. Bar service was as good as it gets. The Aldie Mansion offers a unique location for a wedding. The property and the rooms were clean and ready for the event. For the right size party this place is worth a look. The caterer does a great job serving up modern appetizers and entrees.
We recently got married here and I can't say enough about the venue and the staff. From the food, the grounds, the attention to detail. All surpassed my expectations, I wish I could go back and live that day one more time.
My husband and I got married at the Aldie Mansion and it was an ABSOLUTE FAIRYTALE!!! We originally looked at the Fonthill Castle, but we were sold the second we walked into the Aldie Mansion. For one thing, we loved the air conditioning. August is usually HOT, so it was necessary. The second We walked in, it was like a breath of fresh air. Music immediately surrounded us and the mansion radiated elegance. I love that you get the WHOLE place to use! Your very own mansion and you get to feel like royalty.
My new husband and I could not be happier with Aldie Mansion and JAM catering. To start from outside in the venue itself is stunning to point of at least half of our guest commenting on it and others that will definitely be considering the venue for future events. My favorite of course is the bridal suite and the balcony. The cocktail hour was fantastic. More than anything I would Highly recommend the corn beef station it was fantastic.
My fiance and I recently had our group tasting for our upcoming wedding at Aldie Mansion. Hour of eating delicious food later...we were the second to last couple to leave! And not before grabbing some freshly made churros for the road. My fiance is now convinced we need that churro station at our wedding!
This was the perfect location for our wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff went above and beyond to make things work well for us. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our wedding at the Aldie Mansion. We were married there April 13th, and the day was beautiful! I was very lucky that it was a less busy month and there were no other events scheduled that weekend so we were able to bring in extra decorations on the Thursday before my wedding. I really loved how there were multiple rooms and areas for guest to explore. The Aldie Mansion was exactly what we pictured for our vintage and classical wedding.
Aldie Mansion was my dream venue. After looking unsuccessfully at venue after venue, the minute we stepped on Aldie's beautifully manicured grounds, I knew this was the place we would be married. Everything about the mansion is unique. From the gardens and the large windows of the reception hall, to the Juliette balcony and bridal suite, to the library and the groom's room, it was beyond perfect. The day of the wedding, Aldie and JAM (their exclusive caterer) exceeded our expectations in helping us create a wonderful bounty of delicious food, and a great time for all our guests. If you are looking for something beyond a hotel ballroom or banquet hall, Aldie can make your dreams come true!
Kim Bates handled the planning of our reception. She put us at ease. We were very confident from the start that all would go well.nAll of the staff were very professional and very pleasant, nothing was to much to ask for.nThank you for an outstanding event!

Aldie Mansion and Jeffrey Miller Catering were superb! So many guests asked how we found this place. Everyone was so professional and helpful. Kim was great and so organized, she gave us ideas and suggestions for us to consider.
