Spread across three historic buildings and two sculpture plazas, the space showcases extraordinary artwork alongside award-winning architecture. Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner celebration or a large-scale reception, the museum provides a creative and inspiring backdrop for gatherings of all sizes.
Choose from three primary event spaces to choose from for 50 to 400 guests:
Museum Cafe: The 3rd floor restaurant can host up to 50 guests seated or 100 cocktail style. Imagine your ceremony on the terrace or even the spiral staircase!
Sculpture Barn & Wildflower Garden: This beautiful event space can host up to 130 for your ceremony and reception for a covered open air setting. (Available from Spring to Thanksgiving).
Jim Rouse Visionary Center: Enjoy dinner and dancing within our 3rd floor private event space that can hold up to 400 guests.
American Visionary Art Museum is easily accessible by foot (a 15-minute walk from the Convention Center) or by water transport (Water Taxi or Harbor Shuttle) and convenient to all of Baltimore's Inner Harbor hotels and downtown attractions.
AVAM is capable of hosting events from small intimate dinner parties to large-scale receptions and partners with several caterers.
