Pleasantdale Château is a historic wedding venue in West Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, set on 40 acres of formal gardens, woodlands, meadows, and ponds. Beyond its ivy-covered gatehouse, a winding drive leads to an estate filled with architectural details collected from across Europe, from Spanish tilework to painted Scandinavian ceiling beams.

• Grand Ballroom: Accommodates celebrations of up to 350 guests beneath a vaulted ceiling crowned by a glass dome. Damask-paneled walls and a Juliet balcony add character to the reception space.

• Music Room: A 35-foot ceiling incorporates the imported roof of a Scandinavian chapel, complete with intricately painted beams.

• Fountain Room & Orangerie: Mediterranean-style tilework leads into a conservatory filled with greenery and exotic blooms, offering distinctive settings for wedding photographs.

• Gardens & Grounds: Ponds, walking bridges, gazebos, and mature trees provide outdoor ceremony settings and places for portraits. Indoor ceremonies are also available.

Catering

Pleasantdale Château provides in-house catering led by Executive Chef Robert Albers, whose experience includes The Ritz-Carlton, The Mark Hotel, and Four Seasons. Couples work with the team on personalized menus and culinary presentations for their reception.

Guest Experience

A private bridal salon and a separate game room give the wedding party places to prepare and gather before the ceremony. A bridal attendant assists throughout the celebration, and after-hours festivities can be arranged.

The estate offers 30 overnight guest rooms across the main château and the Petite Château guest house. A complimentary wedding-night suite is provided for the couple, with additional rooms available for family and friends. Wheelchair access is available.
