Where Love Runs Deep—Celebrate at Adventure Aquarium

Adventure Aquarium is a waterfront wedding venue in Camden, Camden County, New Jersey, combining views of the Philadelphia skyline with celebrations beside living aquatic exhibits. Couples can choose a ballroom overlooking Shark Realm or an evening surrounded by the South Seas exhibits.

Event Spaces & Capacity

Two distinct settings give couples different ways to experience the aquarium.

• Currents Ballroom: Accommodates up to 225 guests for ceremonies and receptions. Floor-to-ceiling exhibit windows overlook the 550,000-gallon Shark Realm, while the foyer offers Delaware River and Philadelphia skyline views. Flowing ceiling panels and etched wave walls carry the aquatic setting into the room.

• Smaller ballroom configurations: West Wind, Oceanic, and Gulfstream offer more intimate arrangements within Currents.

• South Seas Exhibit Space: Includes Ocean Realm Gallery and the Rotunda, with wedding celebrations accommodating up to 250 guests, depending on the layout. Guests can enjoy cocktails near aquatic exhibits before gathering for dinner and dancing beneath the Rotunda’s suspended fish mobile.

• Ocean Realm Theater: An indoor ceremony setting beside the expansive Ocean Realm exhibit.

Confirm the dinner-and-dancing capacity for your chosen space and floor plan.

Adventure Aquarium Events and Catering is the exclusive food and beverage provider. The team handles menus, bar service, event management, waitstaff, and bartenders, with arrangements available for special dietary needs.

Event rentals include house tables, chairs, linens, a dance floor, bars, and service ware. Ceremonies are booked with a reception and food and beverage package.

Guest Experience

Both event locations have separate entrances, allowing celebrations to operate independently. Parking is available in the Hippo and Penguin lots across from the aquarium, with self-parking and valet arrangements available through the catering team.

Exhibit access depends on the space you book. Currents Ballroom rentals do not automatically include admission to the aquarium, though Shark Realm access can be added to evening events. Animal encounters and touch-tank experiences may also be available.

Why Couples Love Adventure Aquarium

The setting gives guests something to discover between the wedding-day moments: sharks beyond the ballroom windows, sea life around cocktail hour, and the Philadelphia skyline across the river. It brings a waterfront celebration and an aquarium experience together, with catering and reception essentials handled onsite.
