Duke Art Gallery
Contact: Craig Zeserman
The Duke Gallery in Wallingford is housed on a 100 year-old estate. The most striking features of the four-acre landscaped grounds are Rapunzel stone tower and the Main Building, built in 1889. A newer 3,100 square-foot gallery has been added to the Main Building which is air-conditioned and handicapped accessible for your reception. Our 19th century ballroom would be available as the perfect ceremony "B" plan.
The Gallery features oak floors, soaring exposed rustic beam construction and beautiful lighting. Adjacent to the Main Building is a sweeping manicured lawn perfect for a fairytale wedding.
Enjoy handcrafted pizza from our cob pizza oven as you stroll the grounds.
My fiance and I discovered JAM when we toured The Racquet Club of Philadelphia. We later decided to get married at a family member's house instead, until that fell through. Our first thought was that the Racquet Club would be a wonderful alternative. When that did not work out we decided to look at the Duke Art Gallery, and we are so happy we did! It is a beautiful space - the perfect mix of old Pennsylvania charm with modern art gallery. We are so excited for our wedding in September and are beyond thrilled with the JAM team. Laura and Craig have been a pleasure to work with and extremely helpful with all of the planning details.
I'm so excited for our October wedding! My fiancé and I looked at least two dozen venues until we found one that worked for us! We wanted something quirky, fun, and that of course, has great food! Jeffrey Miller Catering focuses on local farm to table food, which is something I personally vale. Therefore, the Duke Art Gallery totally fit the bill! It's a historic building with a ton of quirky charm inside and out! Stay tuned for a review after our wedding
After venue shopping throughout the Philadelphia area we decided that the Duke Art Gallery was the perfect fit! It has old Pennsylvania charm, beautiful stone and woodwork, as well as the fun twist of being an art gallery! The event planner, Craig, for the venue was very flexible and easy going and I'm sure the event will be wonderful for us and our guests!
Wallingford Community Arts Center is a hidden gem. It's an Arts and Crafts mansion and art gallery with lots of character and beauty. A perfect venue for a memorable event.
From the time we first formally toured the Duke Gallery at the Community Arts Center with Craig Z. in Wallingford during the summer of 2011, we were excited about the possibility of having our wedding there. Craig made a thorough presentation of the options and possibilities that Jeffrey Miller offered and how those options could fit into the space of the Arts Center. After we booked, Craig was helpful, available, and enthusiastic. We had a great time planning and were able to stay in the bounds of our budget, while still planning the type of reception we envisioned. On our luckily gorgeous wedding day, we thoroughly enjoyed the actual reception, which helped bring our personal planning to fruition. We had a good experience with Craig and his staff at the actual reception too. Things moved along smoothly, and guests enjoyed themselves which was of the utmost importance. Immediately after the wedding (and still now on occasion), we received great feedback on the food. People really enjoyed each entrée choice as well as the hors d'oeuvres and the wedding cake. Craig and his team were gracious, hard-working, and cheerful. We would recommend Jeffrey Miller, and our pal Craig Zesserman, to anyone planning an event in the area. Thank you.
Our weekend guests have finally departed.....one more trip to the airport, but I didn't want another day to go by before I could thank you for your professionalism and 'spirit' to help us have what we believe to be the best celebration possible for us last Saturday. nYou were really terrific and it was a pleasure working with you! Jeffrey Miller Catering should be proud that you represent them and their name was mentioned numerous times as the food was truly amazing. (Esp. what little I tasted!)nThe windstorm was dramatic while our hora was danced and the front blew in a beautiful evening preceded by a rainbow which Catherine felt was a sign! Also, the linen selection was something we felt was a person al touch which made Catherine feel she put her signature on her wedding.nThank you again for all the detailed decisions! We are really thrilled that our guests had such a wonderful time!n
