About Hill-Physick House
Its four-story brick house is the only free-standing Federal townhouse remaining in Society Hill. Physick House is an exceptional example of the Federal style.
For example, its huge doorway fan light (the largest in any Pennsylvania residence in 1786) plus grand proportions and straight, classical lines is decorated with outstanding examples of French-influenced Neoclassic furnishings. This was popular during Dr. Physick's time in the house.
Event Spaces & Capacity
Hill-Physick House has indoor and outdoor event spaces. In addition, its vast city garden features plants popular in the 19th century and a winding path and grotto. Events in the garden can hold up to 100 guests.
