The following is a description of each summer tasting at Paramour:
“Wines vs Beer”
6–7 p.m. Thursday, Sept.25, 2014
It's a battle of the beverages. Craft beers and fine wines will be poured side by side for comparison. Pairs of wine and beer will be paired with Paramour's hors d'oeuvres expressly prepared by the chef for this event. Participants will have the chance to cast your vote as to which beverage wins the course and the event culminates with a tally and winner in the beer versus wine competition.
“Wines of Portugal”
6–7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014
Guests will taste the wide diversity of Portugal wines from the light and fragrant whites of Vinho Verde to the robust reds of the Douro River and Dão. Gullo will touch upon the Portugal's most famous Port and Madeira and increasingly popular Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional. These wines will of course be complemented by Portugese-inspired hors d'oeuvres.
“Holiday Wines”
6–7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014
During this tasting, Gullo will pour his favorite selections for the holiday season. Each glass will be paired with traditional holiday fare prepared by Paramour's chef.
