7 Outdoor Baltimore Wedding Venues

Are you dreaming of outdoor Baltimore wedding venues? Inviting bright open skies, gardens and arboretums are a popular atmosphere to host your wedding.

Discover outdoor event spaces in Baltimore, how this post can help you find your dream wedding venue and plan with ease.

If you’re a big fan of nature or of the color green, outdoor wedding venues may be the right fit for you. In addition, they offer more flexibility for larger parties or can create an intimate space perfect for your unique Baltimore celebration.

For an outdoor wedding, consider asking if your venue offers a tent to shield guests from the elements like the sun or potential showers. If they don’t, follow up by asking the venue manager if they permit one. Many Baltimore venues already have a working relationship with a tent rental company that is familiar with the property.

7 event spaces in Baltimore that offer an outdoor setting for your wedding.

Here are some of our favorite Baltimore outdoor wedding venues.

Prosperity Mansion

The grounds of the 17th century stone manor house include 19 plus acres of rolling hills, meadows and gardens. Add a modern state of the art tent with skylights, mood lighting, fountains and beautiful panoramic sunsets and what do you get? A unique venue to start your lives together.  As if Prosperity Mansion’s tranquil open fields, mature trees, rolling hills, vibrant gardens, patios and fountains weren’t enough, imagine preparing for your big day in the vintage bridal cottage–yours for the day.

Situated on the scenic Jones Falls Valley, Mt. Washington Mill-Dye House is a 19th-century mill that features an industrial rustic chic design with a unique, picturesque setting for private events. The courtyard is truly unique with its lovely mature tree, but also original brick and stone facades (dating back to 1810), two antique King Leopold of Belgium stone lions (circa 1600!), a gently babbling moat with wooden footbridge, and rustic wood doors with iron Juliet balcony. Add some twinkling lights to its iconic tree and it’s pure magic.

New addition: Mt. Washington Mill-Dye House’s new back Patio will add approx. 2000 square feet of outdoor space to the venue.  It will primarily serve as an extension of the existing cocktail space, allowing clients to have an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour with more seating, room for lawn games, etc., and it is large enough that it could alternately accommodate approximately 100 guests for a seated dinner.  Once completed, the space will feature 5-foot raw concrete walls, electric and bistro lighting– and couples can opt to tent the space in inclement weather.

Chase Court

Enjoy your wedding in a woodland garden: a lush, and private ceremony garden, with its magical twinkle lights that extend from the pergola to the ivy-covered Gothic building.

In fact, there are two gardens to choose from at Chase Court: the entrance garden and the ceremony garden. Once outdoor ceremonies are complete, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are frequently enjoyed in the ceremony garden, and guests like to return to both gardens after dinner for conversation and a little quiet time. Both are spectacularly lighted at night, with uplights, downlights, and twinkle lights in the trees as well as on the pergola in the ceremony garden.

The ceremony garden allows for up to 125 guests (in normal times) for ceremonies.

Chase Court has hosted elopement ceremonies in the garden for the past 10 years so they are quite familiar with creating the perfect atmosphere to meet your expectations. Choose from a private option with just you and your fiance, or an intimate option up to 60 guests (again, in normal times).

The Sunroom and My Lady’s Terrace combination require a minimum of 121 guests and a maximum of 200. Finally, the capacity is 160 if you need room for a bar and buffet.

Nestled under a canopy of mature sweeping oaks, maples, and other hardwoods, in Baltimore, The Elm is a renovated historic carriage house that originally predates the Civil War.

Imagine a balcony opening onto a two-tiered garden ideal for warm weather weddings and receptions. Indoors or outside, The Elm affords tranquil surrounding amid a charming venue – in one of Baltimore’s most appealing neighborhoods.

Finally, The Elm may host up to 145 guests or an intimate cozy ambiance for 20 guests.

Evergreen Museum & Library

Lastly, for the upcoming wedding season, Evergreen Museum & Library offers a serene and timeless tree-lined setting just north of Baltimore City.

The estate features a magnificent 19th Century Gilded Age Mansion surrounded by elegant manicured gardens and a sprawling terrace. It’s perfect for a wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Also, the grounds include a charming and rustic Carriage House with exposed brick and original woodwork.

The centerpiece to the gardens is a regal stone fountain that provides a timeless backdrop for exchanging vows. And, the adjoining terrace offers an incredible atmosphere to sip cocktails. For instance, the terrace features hand-wrought iron railings, seasonal flowering gardens and an exquisite Tiffany awning. In addition, twice a year, the gardens can be tented for larger celebrations.

Certainly, it’s easy to see why these outdoor Baltimore wedding venues stand out.
